Four Freedoms Park, Roosevelt Island, NY
Architect: Louis Kahn, designed in the early 1970’s, built 2010-2012.
The progression into the memorial park is full of grace. A clear and expansive energy draws you in, a sense of something supportive or divine, guides you. Effortless inclines and inviting stairs ease you onward. Neat joyful lines of trees and vast stone walls, as if born of the soil, funnel you to a breathtaking visual triumph. Reminiscent of the prow of a boat, the end of the park offers a unique dance of both centering and expansive energy. A powerful, inspiring place to observe the radiant energy of NYC. A centered, divine creative wisdom. Mastering balance, possibility and perfect harmony between nature and man, Louis Kahn’s Four Freedoms Park is one of Poser Creative’s most favorite frequencies.
This stunning memorial park is an energetic powerhouse. The most visceral journey to this site is by way of Tram. You can catch the Tram in NYC and ease slowly above the city, taking in the quintessential avenue canyons of Manhattan. As you are lowered gently over the East River and down onto Roosevelt Island, you may already begin to sense a unique and curious energy. This small island that runs parallel to Manhattan has a fascinating vibe.
As you walk south towards the Park at the tip of the island, a cluttered energy is palpable and at odds with the dazzling buzz of the NYC skyline just to your right.
Behind The Scenes
It’s always a unique and exhilarating challenge to produce these guerilla photo shoots in public places. Protected by the energy of the bowls, our travels and shoots always have a divine unfoldment. Outdoor freezing wardrobe changes, packing and unpacking fragile crystal bowls quickly, on the lookout for security, we always have the most fun.
Roosevelt Island and our Mother of Platinum limited edition bowl was shot by the talented @l.noble_photography.
